The Fortius, made by the Japanese brand Mizuno, is a classical offensive blade with a seven-layer veneer structure. The blade is slightly top-heavy
and thus particularly suited for topspin-oriented attackers. The veneer structure, and particularly the combination of medium-hard and hard veneers
is very well-made, resulting in very good speed characteristics. High-rotation opening topspin strokes can be played just as well as fast topspin strokes
or hitting. The blade’s quality is flawless, just as we know it already from Mizuno’s shoes. The Fortius is very well-manufactured and has no edges
that could disturb the game experience. We recommend this blade to classical attacking players.
